At first glance, I almost opted to not review the Webydo website builder because right now I am interested in reviewing website builders that can be used by the average bear. Webydo states that it is intended to be used by designers. However, after watching their nifty walkthrough video, and doing some looking around, I think anyone can use it.
The catch? Because they have designers in mind, Webydo doesn’t come with pre-built templates.
****correction***
There are designs to use as a base. Please read the comments to this post from Webydo. I love a company that cares enough to help a blogger out. Thanks, Webydo!
You have a clean slate each time you begin a website with Webydo.
Industry Specific?
No. This tool can be used for any industry.
Pricing
Webydo website builder’s premium account is $7.90/month, but can be had for free as well.
Would you like some free help preparing for your site? Cool. Here’s a free download I created just for you.
Mobile?
Their website builder creates code that is friendly for mobile devices, but it doesn’t appear that the websites created with this tool have a “mobile” version or responsive capability.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
They don’t say specifically. Most don’t mention this, so we’re going to assume their product works in the most recent version of the IE, FF, and Chrome. If anyone finds out otherwise, please let me know.
Search Engine Optimization?
Webydo’s website builder supports Google Analytics and custom meta information on every page. Yay!
Blog Features?
Sadly, not yet. They are in the process of developing a built-in-blog feature as I write this. #sigh
Ease of Use
Webydo looks really easy to use. It is drag and drop. You can move anything anywhere and the interface looks very intuitive. They have lots of videos to help the newbies out as well.
Use Your Own URL?
Yes.
My Initial Impression
Webydo’s website builder is well on its way to being amazing. The only thing I would warn anyone about is you have to create it all yourself and currently there is no built-in-blog, which is kinda important in the land of search engine optimization and inbound marketing.
Click here to grab my free download to help you get all your ducks in a row before your build your site.
Even though I made it for people who are getting ready to hire a web pro, 80% of it will help you if you are building your site on your own.

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for posting about Webydo. We appreciate you taking the time to not only use Webydo, but to post a review on us too!
Just want to make one correction on this article. When you use Webydo, you have 3 different option when opening a site: start from scratch (like you mentioned), start with a layout, or start with an inspiration to save even more time. There are several options that you can choose from.
However, even with inspirations and layouts that we offer – everything is editable. You can change size, shape, color, font, positioning etc. of everything that you see – that’s why every Webydo site is unique.
About the blog, we are planning on releasing our blog feature withing the next 2 weeks. :)
Hope this helps to clear some things up! And please let me know if I can help with anything!
Best,
Jackie
