This website builder review is part of a series of reviews I have done for online website builder tools targeting users that want to build a website easily without needing to write their own code or create their own designs. Each day I review a new tool without signing up for it. After I find the website builder tools that I think are the best, I will go into further detail with those companies and give more involved results. Today’s website builder tool review is of Wopop.
At first glance the thing that stands out is Wopop’s assertion that their tool is “suitable for enterprise and personal website building.” Secondly, they make the claim that they are simple to use.
No. Like all the website builder tools reviewed so far, Wopop’s templates can be used for any industry. They don’t have functionality specific for any particular industry. Something nice about their template selection interface (which they let you see without signing up for an account) is that you can choose to sort their themes by color or by interest.
There is a free version and two paid-for tiers. The free version requires your website to show their ads in the footer area.
The prices go as low as $3.18/month. Their premium tier can be had for as little as $7.98/month, but these prices are based on a 36-month agreement. The most noticeable difference between the paid-for tiers is disc space and e-commerce capabilities.
There doesn’t appear to be a setup fee.
While their pricing is clearly stated in a simple-to-understand chart, it is a bit jarring to go to their pricing page because you first see “eznow.com” in the header instead of Wopop. And the URL you go to is also “eznow.com.” This is confusing and raises concerns about how much ownership Wopop has over their tool. It appears that “eznow.com” is Wopop’s parent company that also offers hosting, domain services, and so on. If this is the case, it would be nice to be made aware of that on Wopop’s landing page just so the user has an idea of what’s going on before they get surprised when they end up on eznow.com’s site.

I don’t know. Wopop doesn’t mention mobile or responsive capabilities on their feature list. Since they don’t state it clearly (which all of the website builders I have reviewed so far have), I have to assume they don’t have this feature.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
Wopop doesn’t specify that their website builder tool is best if used in a particular type of browser. Again, just like the other website builders, we’re going to assume it works in the most modern browsers.
Search Engine Optimization?
Wopop states that they have “effective SEO solutions.” But they don’t state specifically what they are.
Blogging capabilities aren’t stated anywhere on the feature chart, so I have to assume no.
Ease of Use
They claim ease of use, just like all of the tools do. But there’s no statement about drag and drop. There’s no screen shots showing the tool’s administration area.
Use Your Own URL?
Not sure. They say they allow domain bindings. I am taking a big guess here that “domain bindings” means you can tie whatever domain you would like to your website, but there’s no further clarification as to what domain bindings mean.
My Initial Impression
To me, the Wopop tool appears to be one of many things the eznow.com company offers and it seems as though this tool needs to be more thoroughly thought out and developed to be competitive with the other website building tools. Since there are many other tools I’ve reviewed so far that seem far more robust and sensitive to communicating their features to their potential customers, I am not going to be digging further with this tool when I do my second round of website builder tool reviews.
