Network Solutions is a well-respected provider of many things, including domain names, hosting, and more. They also offer a do-it-yourself website building tool. Now, so far I haven’t found a provider that has many products who offers a strong website building tool. Let’s see if Network Solutions rises above their competitors.
Industry Specific?
They offer a bunch of templates that are customizable to any industry, like most website builder tools.
Pricing
Network Solutions’ website builder pricing tiers are $6.95/month or $9.95/month, but this is only with a 3-year contract. I don’t see the pricing for less than a 3-year contract. They have basic designs and Premium Designs; the Premium Designs are an additional $9.99.
Mobile?
It’s not mentioned anywhere. If they aren’t bragging about it and don’t have sample sites for me to check on my own, I have to assume their sites aren’t responsive or mobile-adaptive.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
It doesn’t say, so I’ll go with the assumption that it works in the most modern browsers, like Chrome, Firefox, and IE 10. The majority of builders don’t say anything about this; because of this, I’m giving everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Search Engine Optimization?
You can modify meta tags. I don’t see anything about statistics or allowing third-party stats code.
Blog Features?
Yes.
Ease of Use
This is a drag and drop editor. They have a very nice video showing how the tool looks and works. It seems pretty easy to use.
Use Your Own URL?
Yes.
My Initial Impression
Network Solutions’ do-it-yourself website builder tool appears to be more thought out than the other companies I have reviewed who aren’t dedicated website builder tool services. The mobile feature and analytics service is a concern, but overall this looks like an okay website builder solution.

Even though I made it for people who are getting ready to hire a web pro, 80% of it will help you if you are building your site on your own.
