Moonfruit website builder is what I’m looking at today. At first glance, all seems really simple and lovely compared to the other website builder tools I’ve reviewed. Let’s take a closer look.
Industry Specific?
They offer a bunch of templates that are customizable to any industry, like most website builder tools.
Pricing
Moonfruit website builder offers five pricing tiers, the first tier being free. The free tier has very limited features, but at least you can get your feet wet and decide if this is for you.
Mobile?
Yes, Moofruit’s websites automatically convert to a mobile version.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
It doesn’t say, so I’ll go with the assumption that it works in the most modern browsers, like Chrome, Firefox, and IE 10. The majority of builders don’t say anything about this; because of this, I’m giving everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Search Engine Optimization?
You can modify meta tags. You also can use Google Analytics.
Blog Features?
Not yet, but they state that they are working on adding this feature.
Ease of Use
This is a drag and drop editor. They have video on the home page showing how the shop portion works; this gives good insight into the tool’s functionality. After the shop video finishes, other videos are available which provide more demonstration of Moonfruit’s website builder tool. Overall, I’d say this is very easy to use.
Use Your Own URL?
Yes.
My Initial Impression
Moofruit’s website builder looks very user-friendly and comes with most of the features I’d want in a tool; sadly they don’t have their blog feature going yet. Other than that, this tool looks great. Before engaging with them, I would contact them to find out when the blogging feature is anticipated to be ready.
