My initial impression of Edicy’s Website Builder? HAPPINESS!
There’s very little information at their home page, but what is there is great. Immediately I know I can get a free trial, I know the site I build through Edicy will be mobile responsive because they have a lovely slideshow displaying desktop and mobile versions, I also know there’s SEO and a demo video. All that without feeling overwhelmed or having to click to a second page. Nice!
Industry Specific?
Just like everyone else, Edicy’s templates can work for almost any industry.
Pricing
They have a free plan, an $8.00/month plan, and a $10.00/month plan (prices are for a yearly contract).
Would you like some free help preparing for your site? Cool. Here’s a free download I created just for you.
Mobile?
Yes. They are absolutely mobile friendly.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
As far as I can tell, it works in the most current browser versions.
Search Engine Optimization?
Yes, you can put in your own meta tags and title. You can also use their stats or Google Analytics. Perfect.
Blog Features?
The blog feature isn’t discussed, but a number of their sample sites have them and I checked to see if they were at the same domain and they appear to be. From their demo video I can see that they have “blog” button.
Ease of Use
The tool looks super easy to use. Their designs are extra simple and well-executed. It looks like they design knowing they need to make the layouts as flexible as possible. I am really not sure which of their design themes I like more. And, with their tool, you can change your design at any time and your content moves into the new layout with ease.
I love their demo video. Wonderful. So easy to watch I think I’ll go view it again right now.
Use Your Own URL?
Yes.
My Initial Impression
Fantastic! A few days ago, I went all gaga for Basekit. Edicy is totally giving Basekit a run for their money. The only way I will be able to distinguish between the two will be to actually use the product, which is going to be happening very soon.
Edicy, like Basekit, REALLY understands their target market. Simplicity. Explanatory videos. Affordable packages for any budget. Perfection.
