This Wopop website builder review is to help you decide which website builder is right for your needs and to help me when I advise clients as to which website builder they should choose if WordPress isn’t a good fit for them. I write website builder reviews in hopes of learning about all of the options so my clients don’t have to spend days or weeks figuring out which way to go.
Is Wopop free to use?
Yes! You can have a totally free website with Wopop. There doesn’t appear to be a time limit as to how long you can have the free account. Much like all free website builder plans, you will have a lot of limitations, like you can only have 10 pages, and you can only store up to 100M of files for your site. These limitations matter. If you want to do much in the way of ranking in search engines, you’re going to need a lot more than 10 pages of content on your site.
A free website builder account is mostly good for checking out the tool to see if you like it or if it isn’t good for how you like to do things. I strongly encourage you to get a free account with the website builder you are considering and try it out for an afternoon. But don’t plan on staying with the free account for very long if you’re hoping to grow into having a profitable website.

How much does the Wopop website builder cost?
Unlike any other website builder, Wopop lists prices in US and Hong Kong (HK) prices. Make sure when you go to the site that you switch the currency to US.
They have three pricing tiers. If you want to have a website that you plan to have a lot of content on, then you’ll want to ignore the first paid tier, which is the Basic tier, because it only allows for 50 pages. The Professional tier allows for unlimited pages and up to 10G of storage. The Professional tier can be as little as $9.63 a month if you sign up for three years at one time. Before committing to that long of a time frame, just go month-to-month, which will cost you $13.75. After you’ve used the product for a few months, then commit to a longer period. You’ll get a price break if you sign up for 24 months or 36 months at one time.
The Ultimate tier starts at $18.08 a month. You can get this level for as little as $14.47 a month if you sign up for three years. The benefit of this tier is you get a shopping cart; most won’t need this feature at first, so I’d go with the Professional tier unless you plan to start selling products online immediately.
How much does it cost to buy a domain name through Wopop’s website builder?
It appears you can get a credit towards a domain name if you pay for an account with them. They also sell domain names and email accounts separately from the website builder which is unusual for a website builder. Their .com domain names start at $11.39 a year and Wopop’s email accounts run from free to $20.90 a year. The free account is way too limited for my purposes, with only 2G of storage. If it were me, I’d do the $20.90/year email account because the storage is unlimited and you can have as many users as you’d like.
My opinion of the Wopop website builder
Okay, so here’s where I usually give you the pros and cons of using website builders and give you some of my personal observations about the particular website builder I am reviewing.
Wopop is a bit different. I am not seeing a lot of things about the service right now that make me feel confident. Here’s some of the things that I would like them to work on in order for me to truly feel like this website builder stacks up against most:
- The templates need to be mobile friendly, all of them. Right now when you review Wopop’s templates, they ask you to choose between PC and Mobile templates. As I’ve been working my way through website builder reviews in the past few months, this is the only website builder that doesn’t say their templates are compatible on desktop and mobile.
- I don’t see a demonstration of the website builder interface.
- I don’t see a demonstration of what the cart is like.
As of right now, I’ll have to hold off on giving the Wopop website builder a more thorough review until they update their site and get closer to the standards of most other website builders.
