It’s time for an updated Jigsy website builder review. I last reviewed this website builder three years ago.
My website builder reviews are not paid for in any way. I don’t get a kickback or any sort of benefit for saying positive or negative comments about any of the website builders I review. I started doing these reviews back in 2013 because I wanted to know the options that were available for my clients; that’s it.
My initial impression of Jigsy website builder:
Jigsy website builder, at first glance, looks just as appealing and viable as many of the more well-known website builders. They have created a drag and drop builder, have e-commerce capabilities, and very fair pricing. The Jigsy themes look super simple and clean, which is what I typically look for in a theme. I find the busier theme designs are a bit of a struggle to customize the way I want. They also have a “layout builder” that looks like it will allow you to create pretty much any page layout you would like using a drag-and-drop interface; I love this! So yeah, my initial impression of the Jigsy website builder is it is something to get excited about.
Would you like some free help preparing for your site? Cool. Here’s a free download I created just for you.
Jigsy website builder pricing made simple.
Unlike some of the other website builders, Jigsy’s pricing is super easy to find and understand.
Jigsy has a free account.
Jigsy’s free account appears to be forever free. But when something is free, there’s usually a catch. In this case, the “catch” is totally reasonable. If you use the Jigsy website builder free account, you are limited to 5 pages, can’t use your own domain name, and will have advertisements on your website. Yep. Free means you have to give a little since Jigsy is giving you a website.
You have three paid Jigsy account options.
$3.99 a month is a very fair price for a website. This account will allow you to have up to 10 pages, full access to all of their components, a custom domain, and no ads. This is great if you are just getting your feet wet.
$7.99 a month is Jigsy’s “basic” account. The “basic” account will let you have up to 99 pages, password protect pages, and have up to three domains.
$15.99 a month is Jigsy’s highest level account. As I write this, this account level is on sale for $9.99 a month. There’s no page count limit, you get more storage than any other level, and you can have up to 10 websites.
Which account level would I choose when starting a Jigsy account? I’d go with the $7.99 account, which is Jigsy’s Basic account. I’d do this because I know adding content on a regular basis is a necessity for growing your website traffic, so right away I’m going to need more pages than what the Starter ($3.99) account has to offer.

Is the Jigsy website builder mobile friendly?
Yes! You must, must, must have a website that adjusts its appearance according to the device on which it is being viewed. Google has made a big deal out of this because Google wants its users to have a pleasant user experience at the sites that it lists in its search results. Jigsy clearly accommodates.
Does Jigsy offer search engine optimization features?
Yes! What does this mean? It means that Jigsy has built their website builder in such a way that search engines will have an easier time understanding what your website pages are about, and this, in theory, leads to your site showing up in search engine results more frequently.
Jigsy states that you will be able to put in page-specific keywords and descriptions. You will also have a thing called a sitemap; this serves as a table of contents for your site and it helps search engines find and catalog everything your site has to offer. You can also add Google Analytics tracking to your website; this is, in my book, an absolute must.

What blog features does Jigsy offer?
You can schedule your blog posts, let people subscribe to an RSS feed, and allow comments. Jigsy doesn’t say if they allow you to assign your blog posts to categories. I’d like to see that built into the product, but otherwise, Jigsy’s blogging tool looks great.
Is the Jigsy website builder easy?
Jigsy, Jigsy, Jigsy… Can you give us a video, like a simple video walkthrough with a little voice narration showing us inside your website builder? I’d really like that.
Because I couldn’t find said video walkthrough, on Jigsy’s Features page they show a demonstration of their drag-and-drop editor and that looks very easy to use. But this is just a teaser into the tool. Apparently, I will need to sign up to try it out in order to really know, and I don’t know about you, but if I have to sign up to see the insides, I lose interest and go to the next search result to see my next option. I’d like a brief walkthrough of the tool on the homepage with the ability to watch a full demonstration.
Can you use your own domain name (URL) with Jigsy?
Yes. You have to have a paid account to use your own domain. And you can get email set up with them as well → bonus!
Does Jigsy have e-commerce features?
Yes! You can integrate with eBay and PayPal or use their preferred shopping cart system.
Final thoughts about Jigsy website builder:
The pros: Jigsy appears to have fantastic features. They say all the right things.
The cons: Jigsy isn’t as well-known as some of the bigger website builders. So building confidence and excitement is going to be a bigger task for Jigsy. I think they need to have detailed videos that show “under the hood” for each feature. There should be snippets of these videos on the Home page and Features page with the option to see a longer video that shows someone using that actual feature.
I like Jigsy enough upon first glance that I think I’m going to get an account and dig in deeper to see what’s going on and maybe share some videos myself.
Even though this website builder looks really promising, please do yourself a favor and at least watch some detailed videos on how to use two or three website builders before you sign up for one. A tool that makes total sense to me might not make sense to you.
