One page websites? Yes, one page. Really. That’s what Onepager specializes in offering the world wide web.
They claim that if you have limited content, it is better to just go with one page for a site. Put all your information on the single page and be done with it. They say that this type of page setup is great for mobile as well.
I’m kind of into lots of content. I have lots to say. But if you are truly just getting started and don’t have time to plan out more than one page, Onepager’s website builder tool could be just the thing for you.
Industry Specific?
They offer a bunch of templates that are customizable to any industry, like most website builder tools.
Pricing
Onepager’s pricing plans include a free account. The free account is super limited, but hey, it is free. I think that sounds fair. They have four paid-four tiers, ranging from $8.00/month to $199.00/month; these prices are valid for one-year commitments. The biggest variant between the plans has to do with how many websites you can build, number of users, how many newsletters you can send (yes, this product includes a newsletter feature).
Would you like some free help preparing for your site? Cool. Here’s a free download I created just for you.
Mobile?
Yes. All of their websites are mobile responsive.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
It doesn’t say, so I’ll go with the assumption that it works in the most modern browsers, like Chrome, Firefox, and IE 10. The majority of builders don’t say anything about this; because of this, I’m giving everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Search Engine Optimization?
Yes, you can put in meta descriptions, titles, and keywords into your one-page website. You can also link your site to Google Analytics.
Blog Features?
No. This is a one-page website, folks. ONE page. Each blog post is technically its own page, so that sort of disqualifies blogs from existing in the land of one-page websites.
Ease of Use
They have LOTS of demo videos. The Onepager website builder’s resources page has an entirely video-based section to walk you through how to use their tool. Very nice!
Use Your Own URL?
Yes.
My Initial Impression
This looks like an excellent tool for those of us who need a one-page website. When might a one-page website come in handy? Well, if you are doing product launches that need landing pages, or if you are a new business that needs to focus on other things besides writing content for your website, a one-page site might be just the thing. Seriously, I’ll even forgive the “no blog” thing because I think this tool is very well thought out for its target audience. Nice work, Onepager!
