Let’s have a look at Sitecube’s website builder today, shall we? The things that stand out the most to me at first glance are their bazillion options. You can have an HTML 5 site, Flash site, Mobile site, industry specialized site. Whew!
Industry Specific?
It appears that there are some industry-specific services that they offer, like salon sites and restaurant sites. I’ll check those out at a later date. For now, we’ll focus on the rest of the templates, which seem pretty friendly to most industries.
Pricing
They have pricing for HTML 5-based sites and for Flash-based sites. They don’t appear to have free options for either type of site. Folks, steer clear of the Flash. HTML 5 is great. It looks like they have oodles of snoodles of options included in each package, like an online store, appointment scheduler, and more. Neat!
***Update*** Much more digging has taken place since the above paragraph was written. I found in the FAQs that they have a trial account. It has a watermark and gets deleted after a certain period, but that’s good, right? It’s so much better to try before you buy.

Mobile?
They can create a mobile website for you, whether you are using their HTML 5 option or their Flash option. This is VERY good, especially for the Flash folks.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
It doesn’t say, so I’ll go with the assumption that it works in the most modern browsers, like Chrome, Firefox, and IE 10.
Search Engine Optimization?
Yes! This information is not on their Pricing page. It states SEO is available for both platforms on their Products page. However, I see nothing about stats or third-party tracking codes, like Google Analytics.
Blog Features?
It doesn’t talk about that for either. I looked through their sample sites and didn’t see any instance of a blog, so I am going with “no” for now. Unfortunate.
Ease of Use
Guess what? They say it is “incredibly easy.” Yes, it is incredible. You know why? Because I can’t see a single demo or screen shot of the tool in action. It is incredible that they expect me to believe their tool is amazing without providing some form of demonstration.
Use Your Own URL?
Yes. It says so in their FAQs.
My Initial Impression
Well… On many levels they interest me. However, no blogging? No live demo or video or screen shots or obviously free account scares me. A lot.
