Today’s website builder tool review is of IM Creator.
IM Creator was not on my list to review because in my initial research, I didn’t find them, but someone just wrote in to me to tell me about this website creation tool so I thought I might have a looksee today to find out what this tool has to offer. Again, much like I stated in yesterday’s review of Webnode’s website creator, IM Creator has a quick video to introduce their product. I am a fan of this video because it shows the tool in action, which is something that Webnode’s video does not do. IM Creator touts itself as being “simple and chic.” Very curious. Let’s dig in, shall we?
Industry Specific?
IM Creator’s website building tool is good for all industry types. If you click their “start now” button from their home page, you see the templates that are available and you can sort them by “photographer,” “designer” and so forth.
Pricing
You can have a free site at IM Creator, but if you go free, you can’t have a dedicated domain.
Their paid plan is $9.95/month if you are willing to commit to six months. The longer you commit, the lower the price goes, with contract pricing as low as $5.95/month for a 3-year contract.
They also have “pro” packages for designers and resellers. You need to contact them directly to work out those details.
There doesn’t appear to be a setup fee.
Would you like some free help preparing for your site? Cool. Here’s a free download I created just for you.
Mobile?
Yes. This, like most website building tools, automatically generates a mobile version of the site.
In What Browser Does the Website Builder Work?
As far as what browsers are best to use with their website builder, they don’t say, but they do very clearly state that their websites are standards compliant and work on mobile devices and desktop devices.
Search Engine Optimization?
Don’t know what search engine optimization is? There’s a brief explanation in the Weebly website builder tool review.
Yes, you can put your own meta information into each page. You can also insert your own Google Analytics information into the site. Yay!
Blog Features?
Sort of, but not the way I would like to see it. So if you have a blog somewhere else, you can feed your RSS into the site you build at IM Creator. IM Creator doesn’t appear to have blogging capabilities within its website building tool.
Ease of Use
As I mentioned earlier, they have a video on their home page that shows the tool in action. It shows drag and drop and shows how easy it is to switch out photos and change things around on the site. Looks great. Also, I was able to find all of the information in this review pretty easily, which is a good sign that they are in tune to what their users need for a positive experience.
Use Your Own URL?
You can use your own URL with an IM Creator website if you have the paid IM Creator account.
My Initial Impression
This tool looks promising. I am disappointed at the lack of an in-site blogging tool, but beyond that, this website building tool scores pretty high on my list. It looks easy to use and it looks like there’s a number of ways to get support from them.

Even though I made it for people who are getting ready to hire a web pro, 80% of it will help you if you are building your site on your own.
